Sunday on mission...

We usually go to church with the "home" church we are building for. Due to the small building Word of Life is in right now, Beech Grove joined us at GCBC for Sunday School and Worship. After a great sermon from Brother Terry, we had a pot-luck dinner for our visitors. What a great turn out!

As the Lord's day progressed, more folks from Beech Grove came in. Services were held for evening worship at GCBC. A brief construction and kitchen meeting was held for members of the mission team. We then went home to start our mission "trip" bright and early at 6 AM. May God bless and watch over this team as we try to serve the Lord with gladness...Missy

Word of Life - June 20, 2009

Things change quickly when God's hand is in it. We were suppose to be traveling to Easley, SC today, yet the Lord closed that door to open another. Our mission team will be working right here at home. Sometimes God puts things right at your feet, you trip over it a few days, finally, you see it for what it is. God placed in the right spot all along! We just had to see it!

Without a travel day, we had a bonus work day on the job site. Starting at 7 am, several of our team members met at WOL to prepare for Monday, the first official work day. We were able to get some things done prior to 60+ people showing up to work Monday morning. Isn't God great?

We have once again, paired up with Beech Grove Baptist Church from Maryville, TN. Between the 2 churches, I am estimating about 70 people involved on this mission project. Praise God!!

After a long, hot work day, we were blessed with o cook-out by the Word of Life congregation. What a great time in the Lord! Three churches sitting down to eat and fellowship together as one.

Let us all pray for a safe and God filled mission "trip" this week.
